J.Anthony Brown is a native of South Carolina who now resides in Los Angeles, California. He epitomizes the "American Dream". His illustrious resume' consists of things most people can only dream of doing. This world renowned comedian is a staple on the nationally syndicated radio show, the Tom Joyner Morning Show, heard by millions each morning. He is known for his quick wit and side-splitting comedic style as well as his ability to effectively 'murder the hits'!

What many don't know about J. Anthony Brown: He is a genuinely talented designer who actually aspired to be a fashion designer before he ever stepped foot in the entertainment business. He has always had a natural talent and affinity for fashion. As early as the 8th and 9th grades, he was interested in fashion and started on the journey to becoming a fashion designer. He recalls wanting to take a sewing class in school, but was discouraged by a guidance counselor who misled him by insisting that boys and girls used different sewing machines and that the school did not supply "boy" sewing machines!

Undeterred, J. Anthony went out and purchased his first sewing machine. The guidance counselor had him so fooled, that he actually asked for a "boy" sewing machine when he went to purchase the machine. He picked up a few patterns and taught himself the basics of sewing. He initially made vests that he sold to friends in the neighborhood. J. Anthony remembers, "I did not know how to sew pockets or button holes, so all of my first clothes had lots of snaps." Later on, he enrolled in Denmark Technical school in South Carolina to increase his knowledge and hone his natural skills.
