enyx Sky,*pronounced Phoenix Sky* formerly known as Cambrie Briggs was born in Memphis, TN, “Home of the Blues,” Growing up in Southern California, she was introduced to music at the early age of 12 while singing in her church, and by the age of 14, she wrote and recorded her first demo, a three song set. Her classically trained voice & style are immediately recognizable, floating on every track effortlessly.

Her unique stage persona has been heard in many diverse settings, including, opening up for major artists such as Faith Evans, Missy Elliot and Busta Rhymes at The Annual “The Beat Summer Jam concert.” Her multi-faceted talent has also inspired many in the Religious arena with a renowned performance for Pope John Paul II. Her talent crosses all boundaries, and her inspiration and passion are limitless. One of her outstanding qualities is her “edgy” signature look which includes silver highlights or couture artwork reminiscent of popular television characters of the 80’s and 90’s “X-Men” and “Jem”.

Some of her other artistic influences are as diverse as her sound, ranging from Gospel singers, such as Yolanda Adams and, Karen Clark-Sheard, to Classical artists such as Leontyne Price, Renee Flemings, Claude Debussy, Chopin, Beethoven. Other artistic influences include Pop artists Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Tamia, Toni Braxton, Shanice Wilson, Selena, Debelah Morgan and Janet Jackson. Her music has been coined “a hybrid of various musical genres.” Her signature style is demonstrated in one of her popular songs, “Schitzofrenic”. The piece contains edgy minor keys, musical motives inspired by Classical composer Beethoven, and then there are the Pop influences in the song “Last Night” including a techno rhythmic feel, and heavy synthesized sounds. Her emotional journeys in life such as the loss of her grandmother and cousin fuel her lyrically, creating a variety of topics that touches on love, life, and heartbreak.
