The Fashion: The Fashions Rocked the House!

The Grammy’s are always the most outlandish award show with amazing, creative and water cooler worthy performances, the ‘what were they thinking’ outfits and the ever present fans, cheering as loud as they can. As far as the Grammy’s red carpet goes, it is a show unto itself. A free and loose affair, this award show allows our favorite musicians to be glamorous yet wild, crazy and ultra-sexy! You never know what you will see making its way down the carpet, and we at MyCloset love it.

The biggest trend of the evening came in the form of gilded, metallic, sparkly and rhinestone embellished dresses as seen on Rita Ora, Chrissy Teigan, Amber Rose and Taylor Swift. Not everyone got into the sparkle sensation though; Katy Perry, Anna Kendrick and Kacey Musgraves went for the more neutral palate of whites and nude respectively. Bringing sexy to the carpet was the many plunging necklines sans necklaces and sheer fabrics strategically placed throughout gowns, as seen on the always fantastic looking Beyoncé. Gowns and dresses, were not the only knockouts of the night, our stars hair shone bright as well with edgy fauxhawks and classic braids.

It’s always easier for the women to stand out with their designer gowns, sultry make-up and stylish hair, but the men of the Grammy’s have us taking notice. We can’t not talk about ‘The Hat’ that ended up with its own Twitter account. Whether it reminds you of a Canadian Mountie or Smokey the Bear, Pharrell Williams’ sporting a vintage Vivienne Westwood hat has been the most talked about fashion moment of the night! Pharrell wasn’t the only man to make a bold statement, Macklemore donned a bold green velvet tux, Ryan Lewis showed off a colorful, patterned suit and Miguel went for fitted patent leather pants, boots and a tailored jacket. And while we find the bolder choices more fun to see, the classic tux looks of the night in the form of John Legend and Robin Thicke had us just as thrilled.
