Country’s Stars Sparkle

Shedding casual for glamor Country stars walked the red carpet, looking darn good!

Academy of Country Music Awards: Country’s Stars Sparkle

The MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas was invaded by Nashville’s best and brightest on April 6th 2014 as the 49th Academy of Country Music Awards commenced. The red carpet was filled with glamorous gowns, short and sexy dresses, suits and ties and of course Country music’s staple accessories, cowboy hats and boots!

Skin, plunging necklines, skin, cut-outs, black and white and have we mentioned skin? That’s right, the biggest trend of the night was flashes of skin. With low cut necks, sleeveless and strapless gowns and playful cut-outs, the women of country showed off. Besides skin the combination of black and white was another prevalent red carpet fad, showing us these stars know fashion since the color combo is also a spring/summer 2014 trend. Jewel, Kimberly Schlapman, Hillary Scott and Jon Pardi all got in on the black and white action.

While many looked fabulous a few caught our eye; Taylor Swift stunned in a J. Mendel crop top and long skirt (which was black and white), Faith Hill proved she’s still got it in a Saint Laurent gown with long sleeves and a plunging neckline, Kimberly Perry went unique with a Georges Hobieka high-neck gown with a beaded Art Deco design and Carrie Underwood radiated glamor in a beaded Oscar de la Renta.

Not to be out done by the ladies, some gentlemen knew how to make an entrance and get our attention. Jake Owens sported an entirely red suit, Frankie Ballard wore a bright blue embellished suit, Hunter Hayes went for a light silver suit, blue undershirt and brown dress boots and Keifer Thompson donned a metallic, snakeskin jacket. All in all, the red carpet was almost as entertaining as the awards show!

Cowboy Boots

Cowboy boots are making a fashion statement. Now being worn with dresses, cowboy boots are in fashion.

Nothing goes with country music better than a pair of good old-fashioned cowboy boots! But the good news is, they're not just for cowboys anymore! The cowgirls are getting in on the action turning them into a fashion trend. You will see fun, flirty, girlly dresses paired with rugged cowboy boots. And don't forget the look that Daisy Duke made popular pairing cowboy boots with super-short, short-shorts. So if you dare, try on a pair of cowboy boots with a dress and see if they stare!

A little something for the rugged man in your life. The cowboy hat equals masculine and sexy.

Cowboy hats go beyond the rodeo these days. It is a fun accessory that can change the look of an outfit instantly. They can change the look of a casual outfit and even further dress up a suit. We even spotted the President in a cowboy hat looking dapper! And of course you can see all the sexy country music singers on the red carpet like Tim McGraw just oozing masculinity in their ten gallon hats. When you are shopping for a new accessory, try a cowboy hat. You can find them in any color under the rainbow. So even the ladies can find a hat to suit their feminine tastes. At the very least you will have a blast trying them on!
