SXSW: Exciting Street Wear at SXSW

While many celebrities attended the infamous South by Southwest festival, we were struck by the street style seen on the regular Joe’s like us. The fashions were on trend, funky and eclectic with hippies, rockers, techies, fashionistas, hip-hop and punk enthusiasts gracing Austin, Texas for a fun filled week of music, film and technology.

Sometimes people watching was more entertaining than the shows with the variety of looks was a sight to see. There was the vintage look, loud and stand out from the crowd prints and a dash of Western thrown in by way of jeans and cowboy hats. And we cannot forget the hipster-grunge look of flannel, quirky eyewear and boots. Weather in March, in Austin can vary from upper 70s to 50 degrees, making layering key. Jackets, sweaters, maxi and short dresses, tanks, shorts and skirts accompanied by tights were the staples seen for an event like this.
