What are your thoughts on fanny packs?

Fanny packs were all the rage during the eighties and part of the early nineties. Even in its heyday, the bag was more of a convenient hands free alternative to a purse, than a stylish must have. Recently supermodel Tyra Banks was seen sporting a designer fanny pack.
