Gilles Rosier
"My designs are always romantic."
In 1987, Gilles became Jean-Paul Gaultier's first assistant. After an eye opening experience as artistic director at Leonard, where he designed its first Menswear collection in 1992, Gilles Rosier founded his own label, GR816, that lasted 6 seasons. This experience incited him to attempt a collection under his own name in 1996. This, on the other hand, did not dissuade him from other collaborations with Lacoste and Kenzo Woman (1998-2003). Thanks to his collaboration with the Italian group Miroglio in 2003, Gilles Rosier dedicated all his time and effort in his own brand, worthy of competing against the other heavyweight champions of the Fashion arena. For his men's Autumn/Winter 2005-2006 collection, Gilles Rosier envisionned a wardrobe specially catered to the refined, cultured man whose overbooked agenda dominates the time he has to worry about his look. We find the signature basics that make up masculin elegance such as the seamingly vintage t-shirt, the tailored jacket, the jean, the wind-breaker, and the tuxedo pant.
