O
ne of the strongest pieces of this store, compared to others across the country and in Canada, is a strong representation of the local yoga culture and community. A large community board is well displayed, where people can find out more about classes, meditation sessions and more. There’s also a chalkboard just outside the dressing rooms where customers – not just athletes - can tell the company what they think.

Several years ago, the founder felt women didn’t have much of a choice to be fit and look great. And, he wanted to encourage his daughter to be active and have fun with fitness. The word has spread.

“Fitness apparel – what has been missing – is apparel for real bodies. People are self conscious. Women come in here and feel like – oh my God – I’m cute!” says Kaler, with a smile.

“Men. I think men are just as picky as women. As goofy as a lot of guys are, deep down, they want to feel put together. And if they didn’t know that before, once they try it on, they discover it feels great to feel good about their workout outfit. I see it all the time.”


Best-selling Lululemon classics include the “Remix Lulu Hoodie”, “Groove Pants”, the “Classic Lulu Pant”, and the “Apres Yoga Coat”.

For the converts of Lululemon culture, they’re words to live by. And now, in the Northwest, there’s one more Lulu store where they can get their fix of fitness and fashion sense all at the same time.
