Kissed by Rain plans to suffuse the world of fashion with moisture that’s equivalent to color. The future holds a vision to develop a men’s wear, accessories and sneaker/shoe line. King hopes to have a boutique of her work in which some of the proceeds will help start a charity for children with terminally ill parents. What an optimistic view seen upon the horizon. What has been your biggest fashion faux-pas?

Wearing a dress as a tee shirt.

If you could only shop at one store, which would it be?

American Apparel. So many colors, so many pieces endless possibilities.

If you could change one thing about your closet, what would it be?

That it could be a whole lot bigger. I have the smallest closet out of all the rooms in my house. Its soo bad my shoe boxes don't even fit in the closet. I throw out pieces all the time to makes space for new goodies!

Survival of the fittest: What is one item in your closet that you will never get rid of?

I would never ever ever get rid of is my black chuck taylors. I have run those things down to the pulp with holes and all but I will never throw then out.

If you were given the opportunity to have a famous designer revamp your entire wardrobe, who would you choose?

I would love my baby daddy Marc Jacobs to revamp my wardrobe. With the amount of prints and funky designs I might just leave my boyfriend and go back to him and the kids.

Name an actor/singer/celebrity whose wardrobe you admire the most.

I love and admire Kelis' wardrobe the most because she never cares what other people think about her outfits. She wears what makes her happy and that is very comfortable. She dares to be different and that is what most women are afraid of.

What are your best and worst fashion purchases?

My best fashion purchase would have to be my gap yellow raincoat I bought my sophomore year of high school for $20 bucks. Its bright ,funky, and I never just wear it in the rain. My worst fashion purchase ever would be these Nike air max sneakers I bought like 2 years ago. They are still sitting in the box in my small closet.

Who makes your favorite pair of jeans? Shoes? Dress or Suit?

My favorite pair of jeans are made by Earnest Sewn OMG they fit like a glove from the I am line. My favorite pair of shoes will have to be my Very Prive rose gold open toe platform heels by Christian Louboutin. My favorite dress will have to be made by Kissed by Rain, my line. It is a deep plum pencil dress with rosegold sleeves. Love it when I want to make a bold statement.

If you had to describe your personal style in one word, what would it be?

Mix-matched! I hate to match.

If you could bring back any fashion trend, what would it be?

Polka dots. I love polka dots!
