What has been your biggest fashion faux-pas?

As a fashion free-spirit, I do not believe there is such a thing as fashion mistakes. I think people should dress according to what makes them feel good. I don't believe that certain colors do not match. I do not believe that certain prints can not go together. My purses are designed, not on the standard as to what is en vogue, but according to my magic within. Consequently, I think people should dress according to the magic within them.

If you could only shop at one store, which would it be?

This question creates a dilemma. Honestly, I cannot chose between Neiman Marcus and vintage/thrift stores.

If you could change one thing about your closet, what would it be?

My closet is a fashion masterpiece. You name it, I have got it! I would not change one thing, believe it or not!

Survival of the fittest: What is one item in your closet that you will never get rid of?

My fuchsia pink fur from the 1950's, I purchased off the street in New York City in 1992.

If you were given the opportunity to have a famous designer revamp your entire wardrobe, who would you choose?

Dolce & Gabbana.

Name an actor/singer/celebrity whose wardrobe you admire the most.

What are your best and worst fashion purchases?

My worst was a unique pair of shoes from the thrift store that came from Italy. I wore it 6 times & it fell apart. My best purchase is a 1980's Christian Dior silk suit from a vintage store that I bought for $12.00. It is a timeless piece. Every time, I wear it I feel like royalty and the complements are plentiful.

Who makes your favorite pair of jeans? Shoes? Dress or Suit?

My favorite jeans are from True Religion and the good old American Levis (vintage). The fit is great for me. It shows all my curves in the right places, if you know what I mean! My favorite shoe designer is Jimmy Choo and Chritian Louboutin. I believe in quality leather shoes with great craftsmanship. My favorite suit designer is Gucci. Even on a dress down day, I wear a Gucci suit, T-shirt and All-American Converse (in a bright color).

If you had to describe your personal style in one word, what would it be?

"Funky-Fresh-Couture" and that is one word for me.

If you could bring back any fashion trend, what would it be?

The era of My Fair Lady the movie.

What is your most recent obsession... that one item you can't live without right now?

Currently, I can not live with out having big, bold and bulky sterling silver jewelry (especially, bangles) from Bali and Israel.

Tell us about your first professional design experience.

My first sale was in 2007, that's when I went public,I sold my first bag for $350.00. I got a great rush of wow! It was the greatest feeling.

If we could take a peek into your personal closet, what would we find?

My closet is a museum of eclectic pieces from the1960's to recent from all over the world. I have from handmade shirts from India, rococo jewelry from Morocco to collection pieces from Italian designers like Gucci and Dolce Gabbana. Every hue in the rainbow is represented and every fabric, from the finest silks of China to the most raw linens of Africa. My closet will take you around the world.
