orn in 1986 and raised in Tampa Florida, Brittany Snow is the perfect example of a successful child star. At three and half she started modeling in print ads for Burdines and by six years old was going on commercial auditions. With her talent showing at that early of an age, it is no wonder she was cast in many commercials, lending her voice or appearing in ads for McDonalds, Disney, Bush Gardens, Kmart and Nabisco Thin Crisps. She also started dance lessons and over the years became a member of ‘Broadway Dance’, ‘LA Dance Force’, ‘Underground’ and ‘The Pizzazz Competitive’. Not only does Snow have the aptitude for acting and dancing, but around this time she and her family discovered her gift for singing. Soon enough, she was appearing in many regional theatre productions like “Pirates of Penzance”, “Annie”, “The King and I” and “South Pacific”, not to mention a National tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”.

Years later in 1998, at the age of 12, Snow’s parents hired a New York agent and within no time she had won the role of Daisy/Susan Lemay on the legendary soap opera “Guiding Light”. From here, Snow propelled to fame. While on the soap, she traveled back and forth between her hometown of Tampa and New York City. Her parents wanted her to remain a normal kid, even if she was on a television show. She would be in NYC for a few days of filming, then back home to attend school. After three years, at 15 years old, Snow left the soap and within a year was cast in the NBC prime-time show, “American Dreams”, portraying a teenager growing up in the early 1960s. While on the TV show Brittany was able to demonstrate talent for dancing when her character, Meg gets on ‘American Bandstand’. While continuing work on the TV show Snow accepted a role in her first film, “The Pacifier” staring Vin Diesel. Then a couple of years later, after “American Dreams” ended, she was immediately tapped to play a recurring role on the hit FX show “Nip/Tuck”. Unlike her previous roles, Snow got to break away from the sweet yet angst filled teen girl to play a neo-Nazi. Once her role ended, things really started taking off for her career. A couple years later in 2007, she appeared in the movie musical “Hairspray”, getting to show off her dancing, acting and singing skills, proving to those who had not already seen her abilities what a triple threat she really is. For the next few years Snow continued her work in films; “Prom Night”, “Finding Amanda”, “The Vicious Kind” and “Janie Jones”, not to mention a couple appearances on the TV shows “Gossip Girl”, “Family Guy” and “Mad Love”. By 2011 she was cast as a regular cast member in another NBC show “Harry’s Law” staring the legendary Kathy Bates. She stayed on the show for a year before getting involved in the much loved movie comedy-musical “Pitch Perfect”, which came out in 2012. Brittany also starred in and executive produced the independent movie “Would You Rather”. In 2013, the Lifetime movie “Call Me Crazy: A Five Film” premiered with an all-star cast including Snow, who starred as a law student inflicted with schizophrenia.

Brittany Snow isn’t just consumed with her career; in 2010 she along with the Jed Foundation and MTV started the “Love is Louder” movement. As a young girl she suffered from an eating disorder that began to take over her life. After receiving the love, attention and help she needed to get better, she realized she had the power to help others. “Love is Louder” shows support to those who feel mistreated, misunderstood or alone. Communities, schools and organizations use her campaign to address important issues like bullying, negative self-image, discrimination, loneliness and depression. Snow’s mission is for those suffering to know they are not alone and to help them feel included and respected. She is involved in all aspects, giving speeches, writing blogs/articles and appearing in videos and PSAs, telling her story and getting the word out.
