ithout a doubt, Dam Square is the center of Amsterdam and the place to hang-out and people watch. The tourist are everywhere and seemingly always on the look-out for adventure. Bike riders and colorful, fun foot covers made for winter wear were plentiful and appealing.

In the astounding Dam Square, the major attraction the Royal Palace, which was built in the 17th century but is presently under renovation are major happenings and major tourist (all year round). The shops, which seem secondary in this particular square are quite unique and include, diamond dealers, trendy clothing boutiques, specialty bazaars and chic little cafes and of course the very well herbally equipped 'coffeeshops'.

Now the central part of the Netherlands is the most visited famous part of the Netherlands and is where the body of Holland stands. There is South Holland and North Holland. Amsterdam is in the region of South Holland and Amsterdam is by far the most popular city in the Netherlands. Not surprisingly Amsterdam has a great history and a fascinating present! For one, prostitution has been legal in the Netherlands since 1815. But, in present day’s time, the Dutch government not only benefits from the tourist trade, but also from the taxes acquired from the taxing of the funds from prostitutes and brothels that are abundant in this most relaxed land. Needless to say, the fashions that we viewed worn by these skilled workers, were by far the most interesting and diverse…and of course ‘no photography’ was allowed.

Amsterdam and the X-clusive generation has great department stores and shopping malls, to say the least. The stores, boutiques and cafes offer an eclectic mix of products from all around the world with a major focus on items from Asia, Latin America and Africa.
