. Anthony Brown worked in several venues while building his illustrious career. He relocated to Atlanta from South Carolina and had aspirations of becoming a clothing designer. By chance he entered a local Gong Show type contest in which he was asked to return on a weekly basis.

Brown has since become a consummate television and movie star, appearing on many sitcoms including "Moesha", "The Hughleys", "Living Single", and "Martin" just to name a few. His movie credits include appearing in several major motion pictures including "Drumline", "How to Be a Player" and "Mr. 3000". He is probably best known for his radio persona as co-host on the Tom Joyner Morning Show. J. Anthony Brown provides the side-splitting comedy along side co-hosts Sybil and Tom. He now owns his own place, the J Spot Comedy Club. And he even has his own line of gourmet hot sauce!

As if he wasn't talented enough already, J. Anthony Brown can also add artist to the list of his major accomplishments. Brown's artistic abilities became evident when he began bringing a sketchpad to the radio show to doodle while passing time. Little did he know, that his doodling would become another facet in his talent arsenal. His sketches began to take shape as viable and unique works of art. As his artistic abilities began to take shape, he began to display his artwork around his home and eventually started giving away some pieces as gifts to friends and family. He is now an accomplished artist and has had his work displayed in Washington, D.C., Las Vegas and most recently on the Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage Cruise. His art has been used for the album cover for famous Jazz musician, Clifton “Showtime” DeMarks. And it has even been exhibited along side famous African American artist, Annie Lee.
